- Although the administrators and moderators of Project Time Machines and the PTM Forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this site, it is impossible for us to review all messages as they are posted. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of PTM, nor XenForo Ltd. (developers of XenForo) will be held responsible for the content of any message.
- The primary goal of Project Time Machines and the PTM Forum is to improve the productivity of its users. Therefore, any behavior which patently transgresses this primary goal is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to inappropriate or offensive language and material.
- The PTM Forum is divided into subject-specific areas. All posts should be made in the appropriate area. Posts may be moved and/or deleted without notice.
- Each user is restricted to one user account. If more than one person is to use a single computer, please contact PTM Support so that we do not mistakenly delete the second account.
- If you wish to change your user name, do not create a second account. We will change it for you. Contact PTM Support so that we can change the name on your existing account.
- PTM forum users may change their user name once per year.
- Personal attacks of any kind will NOT be tolerated. <7 points up to a permanent ban, depending on the nature and severity of the offense>
- Posting of spam on the PTM Forum will not be tolerated. In addition, commercial spamming and trolling will not be tolerated and will result in a permanent ban from the site. Please realize that all the commercial spammers and trolls want is to get attention and disrupt the community. Do not give them what they want. If any member notices there is a commercial spam or troll type post, DO NOT RESPOND TO IT. Responding WILL result in an infraction (with points). Just report it so we can take care of it. This will be enforced with zero tolerance. <2 points up to 2 week suspension for members, permanent ban for commercial spammers and trolls>
- No soliciting of any kind, anywhere on the site. <3 points and up>
- Material of an adult, but not explicit, nature is not permitted anywhere on the site. <3 points and up>
- Copyrighted material which you do not explicitly have permission to use is not to be posted or distributed through PTM. <2 points and up>
- These rules are enforced solely by the PTM Forum Administrators. Got a problem? PM perryny.
- Our infractions/point system is intended only to create a framework for the PTM Forum Administrators to moderate by. Due to the potentially complicated and infinitely variable nature of possible infractions, we will step outside of the framework where necessary (includes closing/removing threads/posts at our discretion). The same applies to the nature of the rules. If we feel that there is behavior not explicitly covered in the rules but which is harmful or disruptive to the community we will deal with it as we see fit.
